If there is no one at your address at the time of your delivery, Royal Mail will either leave a card with further information about your parcel or it will be left with a neighbour for safe-keeping. Your parcel may also be left in a safe place for you to collect at your property if you live in shared accommodation or in an apartment complex.
If your parcel is taken to a local Post Office, a card will be posted to you with further instructions on how to collect your parcel. You will need this card with you and a form of I.D when you collect your parcel to ensure your mail is not stolen. If you choose not to collect your parcel, it will be returned to us after two weeks of being at the Post Office and your order will be refunded once it arrives back to us. We can also sometimes resend parcels if they arrive back to us (further delivery charges may apply) but we can not resend orders out once they've been refunded.
What if I'm not at home when my parcel is delivered?
